Sustainability in Practice – For Future Generations

As a family-run hotel since 1877, we understand better than most the importance of operating sustainably and keeping future generations in mind. We have always valued collaboration with regional businesses and designing our hotel to be timeless – using high-quality, durable materials that do not require constant replacement. And of course, we stay up to date with all innovations in sustainability and implement them wherever possible. 

Since 2013, we have been heating with a combination of wood pellets and a highly efficient combined heat and power (CHP) system that generates both heat and electricity simultaneously. We avoid small single-use packaging at our breakfast buffet and in the bathrooms. A responsible approach to resources is not only good business sense for us, but also an investment in the future.
