Passion and dedication is a part of who we are – Alongside a keen eye for detail and genuine warmth. Our family has been running this house for five generations – and there’s no end in sight.
Many of our guests find our warm, family-like atmosphere to be just what they need for a little getaway, a long weekend, or a relaxing holiday in the Lüneburg Heath.

The Host Family

Marlies and Wolfgang Niemeyer took over the hotel in 1971.
Nowadays, their son Alexander leads with the support of his sister Jessica.

Our Host and Head Chef

Alexander Niemeyer unites two passions – being a welcoming host and a creative head chef. His heart beats for both the kitchen and the hotel.
Since joining the management in 1996, he has been shaping the hotel’s story with vision and dedication – supported by his sister and always inspired by the valuable advice of his parents.

Lars Jessen

Our Head of Service

Lars Jessen leads our dedicated front of house team and has been part of our hotel family for many years.
You’ll often meet him at the bar – ready to suggest your next favourite drink or a fine wine from our cellar to perfectly complement your evening meal.

Reception

From the moment you arrive, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our reception team led by Jessica Niemeyer.
With a smile and great attention to detail, they are always there to answer your questions and provide everything you need for a wonderful stay.

Housekeeping

Our dedicated housekeeping team makes sure your room is spotlessly clean and perfectly tidy – just like all the public areas throughout the hotel.

Kitchen

Alexander Niemeyer and his team look forward to treating you to down to earths delicacies prepared with finesse.
Mia, pictured on the left, represents the sixth generation of Niemeyers at the Romantik Posthotel.
She is currently training to become a chef at Lake Tegernsee – but whenever she’s in Müden, she loves to lend her uncle a hand in the kitchen.
