Discover the Südheide Nature Park by Foot or Bike. The Südheide Nature Park boasts a well-developed network of hiking and cycling trails, making it perfect for guests who want to explore the Lüneburg Heath actively.
Our hotel is located directly on the Heidschnuckenweg, voted Germany’s most beautiful hiking trail in 2014. Hike to the Hermann Löns Memorial on the Wietzer Berg, wander through the juniper forests of Schmarbeck, or enjoy the River-Forest Adventure Trail between Hermannsburg and Poitzen. Along the way, informative panels provide insights into the forest and the Örtze River—ideal for families. All trails are also perfect for Nordic walking enthusiasts.
The Südheide Nature Park also offers a well-developed network of cycling routes. We especially recommend the “In the Footsteps of the Postmaster” route, which connects historic postal stations between Celle, the Lüneburg Heath, and Hamburg (including our former post station), as well as the Große Heidetour, where you can explore the largest heathland areas of the Südheide Nature Park.
Your own bicycles can be safely stored in our bike shed. For rental bicycles or e-bikes, we recommend Birkenhof Bike in Faßberg. Upon request, the team will deliver the bikes directly to our hotel. Reservations can be made by calling 05053 - 90 39 70.

Niemeyers Posthotel is located in close proximity to two golf courses: Golfpark Soltau and Golfplatz Herzogstadt near Celle.
Golfpark Soltau offers a true nature experience with gently rolling terrain, various water hazards, streams, and a diverse array of flora and fauna.
At the edge of Golfplatz Herzogstadt in Celle, 16 beehives have been established, and their honey is available for purchase on-site. In addition, the golf club is actively involved in numerous environmental protection initiatives.
