Tasty meals from the Heidschnucke
From August to September you can enjoy a variety of "Heidschnucken" specialties in our restaurant.
The "Heidschnucke" is a type of sheep and is an integral part of the Lüneburg Heath. The meat is considered a delicacy. It tastes gamey and is low in fat. It is particularly popular during the heather blossom season in August and September. In our restaurant we always offer a variety of dishes such as Heidschnucken carpaccio, roasted Heidschnucken shoulder or Heidschnucken knipp.
